Customizing Mattress

Mattress for 1 person is 50cm wide and 180 cm high. Narrow width makes users uncomfortable. A good idea came up. I connected two mattress.

I made hole with screwwdriver on the top, middle and bottom of mattresses and tied two mattresses with string.

Sudo-ri Folk Village

I visitied Sudo-ri Folk Village this afternoon. The village is just about 10 km away from my house. It took about 1 hour to get there.

The following article tells me about the history of the village. If you click the following image, you can read it.

Long time ago, Yangban (nobleman) lived in this house.

Common people lived in this house.

They grew pumpkins on the roof. It reminded me of famous Korean chilren's story "Heungbu and Nolbu".

I walked on the single log in the river of the village. It was scary. I was afraid of falling down to the water.

Self-made panniers with 11 dollars

I planned to travel my country, Korea, for 2 weeks by bike this summer. I bought lots of things such as tent, sleeping bag, etc. for my trip. But I decided to make panniers for myself because they were too expensive. I read some articles on how to make panniers at the online biker communities. At first, I was not sure that I could make them. But I made a try.

I bought 2 metal nets at Daiso, a shop like dollarama in Canada. There were two sizes of net. I chose longer one for my bag. It is 1.7 dollars for each. I bought two nets. So it is 3.4 dollars in total.

I also bought a bunch of cable ties at a hardware shop. It is 85 cents.

This is my Nike bag that I bought at Toronto at half price when I studied Engligh for a year.

I tied the bag at net, using its straps and cable ties.

And then I tied the net with bag at rear rack of my bike with cable ties. I CAN DO ANY THINGS WITH CABLE TIES!!!

This is my bike with self-made panniers at the back.

I also bought water-proof cover against rain. I only have to put the cover on the bag if it rains.

Two nets: 3.4 dollars

Cable ties: 85 cents

Rear rack: 6.79 dollars

Total: about 11 dollars
